Mural Marks 50 Years of "Sounding Like Washington"

 

U Street in Washington, DC, once boasted of being home to the largest urban African American community in the nation. It’s also home to a local and national treasure, Ben’s Chili Bowl. The famous black-owned restaurant recently unveiled a new mural in honor of another DC treasure– Howard University’s WHUR radio, which celebrated its 50th anniversary.
