George “Sting” Appiah was born in Lexington, VA but now resides in Prince George’s County, Maryland.  After two years of attending Morgan State University as a Computer Science major, George transferred to Howard University and is now majoring in Print Journalism, with a minor in Graphic Design. 

Outside of school, George struggles to find a balance in his life, juggling duties as a full-time assistant manager of an auto parts retail franchise, a head coach for the Oxon Hill Boys & Girls Club Soccer team, and his own business, Sting & Skye :: T-Shirts & Designs.

George plans to graduate in May 2006 and looks forward to working in the world of journalism in some fashion – be it writing, photography or graphic design, possibly using his experiences as a stepping stone to become an author.
