Shari Logan, a print journalism major, is in her third year of study at Howard University.

She is from Brooklyn, NY and has two siblings – a younger brother and a twin sister.

Shari is of Caribbean descent.  Her mother and father are respectively from St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Jamaica.

She is proud of her culture and thankful for the lessons she has learned as result of her family’s struggles.

Shari hopes to influence the world of journalism and thus the media by highlighting the positive side of the black community.

In the future, she would like to write for a magazine and eventually publish her own magazine for young African-American girls.
