Celebration Recognizes 45 Years of Educational, Industry Excellence

NBC Universal Vice-President Michelle Hord-White, a Howard University School of Communications alumna, accepts the Corporate Award on behalf of NBCU during the celebration of the 45th anniversary of School of Communications at the Newseum in Washington.

From its notable alumni in film, radio, television and management, to its stellar programs offering its students internships, prestigious honors programs and debating skills, the School of Communications at Howard University continues its legacy of “Excellence without Excuse.”  This past weekend, it celebrated 45 years with a sold-out soiree held at the Newseum in Washington, DC.  Howard University News Service reporter Cassidy Sparks has the story.
