Anointed Hair Styling & Braiding has made immense progress since their recent move to the Brentwood area at the start of the 2019 year. Having its start over 10 years ago, the business has flourished with a great clientele which is due to the talent and passion that is within Kathrine Nwog. Nwog, the owner and licensed cosmetologist has put forth her passion as a service to Washingtonians.
“I am very gifted and talented when it comes to beauty,” said Nwog referring to why she got involved in the hair and beauty industry.
Though it has been her vision, she has not been alone on her road to success. Her husband, Lawson Nwog has had a hand in the increase in business and exposure of Anointed Hair Styling & Braiding.
“A lot of marketing, advertisement, public relations and networking in the beauty community,” said Nwog as he described his contribution to the business’ success.
Their initial place of business was located in the Northeast area, namely on Washington Place. However, they have relocated to Brentwood recently in the current year of 2019.
A new customer Angel Monea, is ecstatic about Nwog’s services and found her on a commonly used website for suggesting and reviewing businesses.
“This is my first time coming to Ms. Kathrine. I saw it on Yelp. I usually get it [my hair] braided. I don’t live in the area.”
When looking at the trends of salons and braiding businesses in Brookland, Washington, D.C., Anointed is ranked #8 on the Top 10 Hair Salons Near Brookland on Yelp.com. This is to show that within the chosen area within Ward 5, Brookland, they have been ranked due to quality of technique and service, which has awarded them their ranking.
The plans of the Kathrine Nwog and family seem promising, as the numbers don’t lie.
