Record Numbers Voting Early, Dems Leading Charge

Presidential Election 2016

Across the nation, millions of Americans are heading to the polls early.  According to election officials, more Democrats are voting early than Republicans.

As the countdown to the conclusion of the 2016 presidential election continues, more than 23 million Americans have already cast their votes. A record number of voters are heading to the polls early, election officials say, to avoid long lines on Nov. 8 and to ensure that their votes are counted. Howard University News Service reporter Sidnee King talked to voters in the nation's capital about casting their votes in advance of election day.
