On November 8, incumbent Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser cast her vote in the 2022 Mayoral Election at Riggs Lasalle Recreation Center in Northeast Washington. Bowser hopes to be re-elected for a third term, which, if successful, would make her only the second mayor in the District’s history to do so.
Although polls show that Bowser is the favored candidate, many D.C. residents have concerns when it comes to what the mayor’s office will do differently with regards to addressing a number of local issues such as crime, homelessness, and affordable housing. NewsVision reporter Milexa Cardona spoke with the mayor about what D.C. residents can expect if they were to re-elect her.
