Second Annual International Black Writers Festival Explores the Vital Role of Black Writers and Journalists in Democracy

The Moorland Spingarn Research Center and The Center for Journalism and Democracy at Howard University hosted the second annual International Black Writers Festival from Sept. 27-29. The festival’s theme: “Why We Gather,” examines what role Black writers and Journalists play in what is now a deteriorating Democracy.
