Whitney is Back in Rehab

Powerhouse singer Whitney Houston has reportedly entered a drug rehab clinic yet again. The songbird, whose struggle with drug addiction has made the front page of many tabloid magazines, was said to have sought the assistance of the Sierra Tucson clinic in Tucson, Arizona to kick her habit, said the entertainment news show EXTRA.

In an interview with the National Enquirer, Houston’s sister-in-law, Tina Brown, admitted that her brother Bobby Brown was not told about Houston’s return to rehab until several days after returning from an April 14 concert.

“At first [Bobby] thought she was just off on another drug binge," she said in the interview. “It took a few days for him to find out from Whitney’s family that they had talked her into going into rehab – and a few more days to get an answer about which treatment center she was in.”

During the interview, the 42-year-old mother of six gave the Enquirer pictures of Houston’s bathroom littered with drug supplies. “I hope this time it works,” Brown said. “She can still come back and be the star she was, the singer the world adored. I pray to God she’ll get herself clean for good.”

Houston is often remembered for dismissing the allegations of her crack usage in the Diane Sawyer interview, where she proclaimed that “Crack is whack.” Daughter Bobbi Kristina is said to be staying with Houston’s brother Gary and wife Pat in Alpharetta, Georgia.

Representatives for the soul singer are refusing to comment.
