It was only a day ago that the 10 buses journeyingfrom Howard University arrived in New Orleans. Theimpact of the resurgent city, however, has not takenlong to affect the minds and hearts of those who havemade a pilgrimage here for service. I, as one of the hundredsof volunteers, feel a dramatic sense of sadness aftermy first day of work.
