A back-to-school event in Beltsville, Maryland, brought families together for school supplies, food, health services, financial resources, haircuts, activities, and other community support.
The August 22 event featured local organizations and businesses that provided backpacks, low-cost phone and internet information, acupuncture and wellness services, and resources for parents and children as they prepared for the new school year.
Community members and participating vendors said events like this can help ease some of the stress families face during the back-to-school season.
