Green with Grime: D.C. Company Aims to Restore Area’s Green Spaces

Washington, D.C. may have a lot of green spaces but not all of these spaces are treated the same. In lower income, predominantly Black areas of the District, the issue of dumping is a major problem that negatively affects the environment. NewsVision reporter Courtney Williams spent a day with Ward 8 Woods, an organization that’s trying to make a difference in D.C.’s Ward 8, by cleaning out, restoring and advocating for better use of these spaces.
