Arianna Richardson, 17, of Bowie became interested in journalism after earning a communications internship in order to improve her school’s website. Arianna took and edited photos and videos and also helped design the website from a student’s perspective, and managed her school’s social media. Arianna has a passion for computer science and won a national award for Women in Computing, as well as placing second with her robotics team in their First Tech Challenge county qualifier. She is a member of the National and French Honors societies. Arianna plays varsity baseball.
