A team of Howard University students will be providing unprecedented university coverage of the Democratic National Convention. Click on image to go to the Howard University Election Project. The students will be writing, shooting video and reporting with social media for the Howard University News Service a student-fueled news wire that serves nearly 200 National Newspaper Publishers Association member newspapers. The team working in in Philadelphia July 26 to July 28 will provide continuous print, broadcast and social media coverage of the convention for scores of newspapers that cannot afford to be there. The team from Howard among a handful of university news services covering the convention.The news service is part of the the Department of Media, Journalism and Film in the School of Communication.
