Howard Homecoming Recap: Step Show, Fashion Show and Homecoming Day of Service

Howard University’s sold out 2017 Homecoming Greek Step Show where alumni, students and faculty came out to enjoy performances from the Divine 9. A special appearance was made by Terrence J as a host of the entire event. He came out and got the entire crowd excited, especially when he joined his frat, Omega Phi Psi, in celebration. As usual, all organizations came out and showed on the floor. Watch more to see who took home the trophy.

 

Homecoming Weekend kicked off Thursday, October 19 with the Annual Homecoming Fashion Show. Crowds of students, faculty, community members and alumni filled the seats of Cramton auditorium for the show. Student designers were featured in this year’s show entitled 'Pulse'. Director Pharr Bowser and her team of volunteers and models only had three weeks to put together an amazing show. A guest performance by Shy Glizzy was a surprise to the audience. Audience members said that it was definitely a show to remember. 

In a continuous effort to celebrate Howard's sesquicentennial year, a large amount of students signed up to participate in Howard's 2017 Homecoming Day of Service. Groups of students were assigned to different service sites around Washington, D.C. Service locations included local communities, parks and schools.
