Classical music has been around for centuries, and the genre is still continuing to be celebrated as a staple of the performing arts. However, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, fewer than ten percent of opera singers are black. Tonight, we shine a light on one black woman in opera here at Howard. NewsVision reporter Zsana Hoskins has the story.
