The Hilltop, Howard University’s campus publication, is celebrating 100 years as the country’s oldest Black collegiate newspaper. During February 2024, former and current staffers, supporters and students gathered for a weekend of special events marking the milestone. Serving as campus editor, Howard University junior J.D. Jean-Jacques reflects on what this historic milestone means to him.
