Since President Trump took the oath of office, he has ushered in many policies aimed at ending protection under the law for certain groups, one being LGBTQ+ people. A January 2025 Pew Research Center survey showed 78% of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer adults in the US say they expect the administration’s policies to have a negative impact. NewsVision reporter Tia Pitts talks to residents in the nation’s capital.
