Access to mental health care is not equal for everyone. Black Americans are far less likely to seek treatment compared to their counterparts. According to the National Alliance on Mental Illneess, provider bias, both conscious and unconscious, and a lack of cultural competency are reasons for in misdiagnosis and inadequate treatment. NewsVision reporter Kayleigh Holcombe looks at efforts to bridge the gap.
