Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been an uptick in gun violence nationwide. According to U.S. News, gun violence has risen more than 30 percent from last year. Here in Washington, DC, there have been nearly 400 juvenile arrests this year and among these offenses is gun violence. As NewsVision reporter Abriana Luke-Scales tells us, families are being torn apart and left to pick up the pieces.. leaving one mother feeling lost without her child.
