The Howard University Broadcast Journalism Spring 2025 NewsVision Cohort presents, its final capstone newscast, “From Capitol Hill to the Capstone.” From democracy to DEI, Mental Health to Black mothers, and Howard staples to sports action, this semester’s seniors cover it all. Under the tutelage of Prof. Jennifer Thomas, the NewsVision capstone is the culmination of journalism and media courses in the Department of Media, Journalism and Film in the Cathy Hughes Schoo of Communications. You can be assured the self-produced stories and newscast are ethical, impactful and in context. Many of the stories were broadcast on PBS’ WHUT TV. The collegiate journalists served in all roles in front of and behind the scenes.
