There are an estimated 2 million Black-owned businesses in the United States, according to Prince George’s County’s Economic Development Corporation. Seventy percent of Black business owners say they are happy with their business. That certainly appears to be the case for a DC-area barber who is turning a simple haircut into something much bigger. He’s building a business centered around community and connection. From the chair to creating opportunities for others, his impact goes beyond his barber shop.
